PERN has joined hands with Higher Education Department to provide its service at, selected 26 colleges of Punjab to meet the educational requirements at the International level. Higher Education Department has also decided to establish IT Labs in these colleges to boost the standard of education of computer being imparted through Government Colleges across the province, by providing computer labs and PERN Connectivity in the 26 colleges.

Instructions for Unified Communication

1. Get College ID and Password from HEC Person by doing an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Follow Instruction Manual for setting up Lync Unified Communication for Colleges

2. Download Lync client from the this link Lync 32 Bit or Lync 64 Bit

i)  Download Certificate

ii) Double click certificate Click next twice.

iii) Password is Cisco@123 Next keep the pool on automatic Next then finish.

3. After Installing Lync.

i) Click Tools and Advance Options.

ii). Look for Advance Tab in Top Right Corner and Select Manual Configuration  and Enter in both internal and external text boxes.

iii)Click OK all done. Enter User name and Password Which is <username> and password, 2nd field entry should be like\<username>

PERN also have installed IP phones/ Analogue Phones.
